KPS Swim Team Update January 2025

The KPS swim team meets every Wednesday evening and Friday morning before school to train at the Swan Leisure pool. This year we have 21 very enthusiastic and dedicated swimmers from 3rd to 6th class who have shown themselves to be fantastic swimmers, getting faster with each training session.

 

Fourteen of them recently met the very fast qualifying times for the Leinster gala which was held last Sunday, 19th January. This took place at the National Aquatic Centre.

 

There were many schools from all over Leinster taking part at a very high level. KPS was just pipped at the post for a medal with the 9/10 year old girls medley relay team coming fourth in Leinster! Alice, Flora and Emily also set great records managing to achieve qualifying times for the National Swim Gala at the end of March.

 

We are incredibly proud of the entire team for their dedication and enthusiasm and for sharing their love of swimming.
