Thank you to everyone who attended last night’s Bingo Night – we had a great turn out. Little did we know we would have so much fun – people didn’t want to go home! A huge thanks to the PTA for organising this night and to our wonderful host Miriam O’ Callaghan. Not only did the parents and teachers have a ball but the next day the pupils had some fun playing bingo in the hall too!

Well- Friday the 9th October was a busy day for the school – not only was it GOAL jersey day but we also had Liz Murray from Barnardos in to talk to us about her work. Last year we gave €1050 to Barnardos for thier work with children in Dublin and their “Breakfast Club”. Liz told us all about how our donataion can be put to such good use and how it makes so many children in Dublin experience some much needed laughter and happiness.

While Liz was in speaking to us we were able to show her all the different jerseys that we had in the hall – we even made her wear a Kildare Place jersey!!  This year we raised a fantastic €365 for GOAL. Thank you to all the staff, parents and pupils for all your donations. It is great for the pupils to see the positive work being done.

PTA: A Big THANK YOU!

A big THANK YOU to all the parents who turned up to last night’s PTA AGM for a swift, worthwhile meeting. There were in the region of 70 people present to see the exit of Chairman O’Rourke and the arrival of Amanda Bell to the PTA. Many thanks also to the parents who have volunteered for Class Rep duty, football, the South African Project.

Many thanks to Martin for his years of stewardship as Chairman of the PTA with his inimitable nous, wit and humour.

Another reminder for the Board of Management election (November 5th) will be posted closer to the event.

The 2007 PTA AGM is happening on Monday October 8th at 8pm in the School Hall.

It would be appreciated if every family in the school could be represented so that you can participate in the PTA’s activities and determine their future direction.

Elections will take place of a new PTA Committee member due to the retirement of Martin O’Rourke as Chair.

Class Representatives will be elected.

Please make the effort to be there.

Thank you,

The PTA
