Christine Campbell came to us via Discover Primary Science which is the project Junior Infants, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th Classes were involved in during the year – which incidentally won us another award! Christine gave two shows and all the school attended them. Certificates from Discover Science were presented to all the children in the school by Caroline Morahan of Discover Primary Science!

Coláiste na Rosann 14 – 18 May 2007
The pupils of sixth class made their annual trip to the Donegal Gaeltacht of Coláiste na Rosann on Monday 14th May. En route they stopped in Monaghan for lunch and proceeded to the Ulster American Folk Museum, which is outside Omagh. A very interesting tour of the Folk Museum was laid on for the children.
We all arrived safely at the Coláiste at 5.15pm which was the real beginning of the Gaeltacht experience.
Coláiste na Rosann is situated in the picturesque, rural coastal village of Anagaire, in the Rosses region of West Donegal, with beautiful views of Errigal Mountain and Glenveagh Castle and National Park a short distance away.
This cultural Heartland with its rich Gaelic heritage offers a fabulous location for young students to experience rural life and to appreciate all of what the Gaeltacht has to offer.
The programme for the week included morning classes, afternoon activities and trips and evening céilithe; competitions; ceol agus craic.
Tbe Bean an Tí who looked after the boys and girls were very impressed by their standard of Irish and also most complimentary of their general behaviour, courtesy and respect at all times.
Many friendships developed between children in the different schools and our pupils are still speaking fondly of their “Gaeltacht Experience”.
Bhí am iontacht, álainn ag gach duine ó K.P.S. i gColáiste na Rosann.
